چکیده
Nonlinear weirs are among the major structures used in water transfer. Thus, these have been subject of various studies. This study investigates effect flow splitters on discharge performance trapezoidal and triangular labyrinth one cycle. delves into effects installed crest one-cycle using numerical methods (Flow-3D) physical models. In model, two, four, or six vanes were placed at regular intervals. The results showed that weir offered 4% higher efficiency than its counterpart had better weir. can improve by up to 11%, coefficient was found be 10.2% simulation model.

Numerical study of flow of labyrinth weir with triangular and curved plan form using Fluent software
Labyrinth weirs have not a straight crest in the perpendicular direction to the flow. The plan view of the weir consists of multiple and broken linear crests that cause the increase of its effective length. The advantages of this type of weirs are higher discharge capacity, easy aeration as well as low fluctuations of water surface at the weir upstream. This paper deals with the simulation of t...

Trapezoidal labyrinth weirs offer significant flow magnification for the available width of approach channel and that of the downstream chute. These types of weirs may find great utility and hence will have to be designed and provided for river linking projects. There are many factors such as head to crest height ratio, angle of side walls, vertical aspect ratio, apex width and approach and con...

Labyrinth weirs are the economic structures to increase the weir output efficiency in limited widths, which can be seen in the plane f trapezoidal and triangular forms. These weirs with a hydraulic load and fixed width pass the more discharge in comparison to other type of weirs. In this study, labyrinth weirs trapezoidal in plane form were investigated. The experiments were performed on 27 lab...
متن کاملAn Experimental Investigation into the Effect of Curve Radius on the Discharge Coefficient in Curved-Linear and Curved-Labyrinth Weirs with a Triangular Plan
Nonlinear weirs are regarded as important hydraulic structures for water level adjustment and flow control in channels, rivers and dam reservoirs. One example of non-linear weirs is shaped as curved-zigzag. The crest axis of these weirs is non-linear. At a given width, the crest length is greater than that of the conventional linear weirs. Thus, they achieve a higher flow rate for an identical ...
